There are at least four of these kinds of websites (in Nigeria) that we now know of – Kosava Deals, Picodi PromoHub, and now FreeJaja.

FreeJaja is a blog-type site that posts ongoing deals and promos from major ecommerce stores in Nigeria.

Visitors can browse deals by categories that include, Computers, Electronics, Lifestyle and Home, Phones and Tablets and Specials. Visitors can also browse deals from the shops categories.

Unlike, the other three, FreeJaja hasn’t created a nuanced infrastructure to provide this service. The promos and deals are merely posted as blog posts that link back to the sellers/merchants websites. What this means is that old and/or expired deals are listed alongside new ones. This may prove confusing for visitors who are left to weed out expired deals from new ones.

As far as I can recall, I’ve owned seven phones in the last nine years, four of which forcefully ended up with people who needed them more than I did. Out of the remaining three, I recall handing one down to a younger sibling and disposing another in a waste bag during spring cleaning. I haven’t given much thought to where my current phone will end up when it no longer serves its purpose. Until now.
