This week, there’s going to be a digital security workshop on CcHub’s 6th floor. This workshop is the second review of CcHub’s project, SafeOnline, and it’s happening on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (WAT) at Co-Creation Hub Nigeria – 294, Herbert Macaulay Road, Sabo, Yaba, Lagos.
SafeOnline, Co-creation Hub project (in partnership with OSIWA), is a digital security guide for Nigerian civil society organisations, journalists and active citizens, and it aims to help prevent them from getting exposed to security vulnerabilities. The first review workshop happened in July and there, NGOs, journalists and bloggers were introduced to the Safe Online Digital Security Guide.
This second workshop, just like the first, will discuss digital security threats facing civic Nigeria, overview the SafeOnline project (how far it’s come), and review the content in the guide. The audience will also be shown the updates that have been made to the content, as well as the online platform and the physical books that will contain the guide.
Everyone’s invited – staff and members of CSOs, investigative journalists, owners of online platforms, active citizens, the general public – but spaces are limited, so if you’re interested in attending, register here asap.
