IROKOtv, a Nollywood movie platform is currently hiring. Isn’t that the best news in this current economic climate? Jobs. Alright so here’s the gist.

The job title is Offline Agent for IROKOtv. It’s a 3 month fixed term contract with the possibility for extension. It’s an entry level job and there are 100 positions available.

As an Offline Agent, your mission will be to attract visitors to IROKOtv booths, provide point of sales assistance and sell IROKOtv subscriptions.

Here’s what the IROKOtv booth looks like

You’ll be expected to create a fun booth environment, teach visitors how to download and use the IROKOtv app, sell IROKOtv subscriptions to meet your monthly target, provide weekly reports on customer feedback management, and a bunch of other stuff.

Do you speak English fluently? Are you a friendly somebody? Familiar with mobile (Android) apps? If you answered yes to all of these, you have the requirements needed to apply. Previous sales or customer service experience is a plus of course.

Now for the good stuff, the salary. There’s a base salary of N40,000 plus an on-target bonus scheme.

Gokada shuts down for two weeks in bid to reboot operations

Gokada, the popular bike hailing startup, has stopped all mobility operations for the next two weeks. In a Medium post, CEO Fahim Saleh, announced that the Gokada app will be temporarily disabled and all bikers will be off the road during this period.
