The maiden edition of the Digitech Conference 2016 is set to take place on October 27, 2016, at the Landmark Event Centre, Lagos from 9am to 5pm.
Digitech is organised by Imaginarium Creative, and the goal is to gather the top minds in various technology related industries to explore the opportunities in big data. The theme of this year’s conference is “Towards A Data Driven Economy”.
There will be plenary sessions to discuss how data, technology and innovation can make a difference in our communities, shape policies, encourage innovation, and unlock economic prosperity in the current post-oil economy grappling with recession.
Topics that will be discussed at these session include data profiling for policy formulation and social development, data driven entertainment, the startup ecosystem and big data, social data intelligence through mining social data, and designing with data.
Some of the speakers at the event will include Nigeria’s Vice President , Mr. Yemi Osinbajo, Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, CEO of Diamond Bank, Uzoma Dozie, Chairman, Openmedia and former Director General of the Nigerian Communications Commission, Mr. Ernest Ndukwe, and Google Country Director, Juliet Ehimuan.
There will also be exhibition stands at the conference to display numerous data-driven innovative products and services.
