In the ever-evolving world of Web3, few names have risen as organically and as impactfully as David Ogooluwa, widely known in the ecosystem as Dotify.

What started as a passion for storytelling and founder narratives through his platform Founders Corner has now evolved into something bigger – a voice that bridges communities, founders, and audiences across Africa and beyond.

From founders corner to founders’ stages

When David launched Founders Corner in 2023, it was born out of a simple but powerful belief that; the future of Web3 is not just being built; it’s being told.

Through insightful interviews, human-centered storytelling, and content that broke down complex blockchain concepts into relatable narratives, Founders Corner quickly became one of the most consistent Web3 storytelling platforms to emerge from Africa.

David’s conversations have featured founders and leaders from Monad, Nillion Network, Somnia, and 0G Labs, among others, therefore bridging the gap between technical innovation and human experience.

But beyond the mic and the camera, David’s story took another turn.

Blockfest Africa: the biggest Web3 stage on the continent

At the BlockFest Africa 2025 event in Lagos which was the continent’s largest Web3 gathering, David stepped into a new light: Africa’s Biggest Web3 Host.

With over 5,000 attendees in person, 6,000 streaming on YouTube, and 3,000 watching live on X, BlockFest Africa was not just an event, it was proof that Web3 in Africa has matured, and voices like David’s are helping shape its identity.

As the event’s host, David brought energy, insight, and connection, therefore weaving together conversations between founders, investors, developers, and creators from across the global blockchain scene.

Major media outlets, including Arise TV and Channels TV, covered the event, spotlighting the scale of the ecosystem and the voices leading its charge.

Beyond the spotlight: a vision rooted in purpose

David’s journey from university halls in Nigeria where he appeared and spoke at JupInNaija activations with Jupiter Exchange, to global Web3 events, has always been driven by purpose which is to educate, connect, and humanize the decentralized world.

His work continues to empower undergraduates, onboard new Web3 users, and create meaningful conversations around decentralization, AI, and blockchain adoption across Africa.

As he puts it, “I’m not just trying to be a voice in Web3… I’m trying to be a bridge.”

And that bridge keeps expanding, from Founders Corner, to international collaborations, to now being recognized as the biggest and most dynamic Web3 host in Africa.

    The journey ahead

For David, this is only the beginning.

As Founders Corner evolves and Web3 adoption deepens across Africa, one thing is clear; his voice has become a symbol of a new generation of African builders and storytellers who are not just watching the future unfold, but actively creating it.

    From content to community.

    From storytelling to stages.

David Ogooluwa’s rise is not just a personal win, it is a reflection of Africa’s growing place in the decentralized world.
