The future of healthcare waits for no one, and on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Tayo Adenirokun Hall, University of Lagos, a wave of young minds and innovators will gather once again to prove it.

The STACK Reform Health Fair is the largest student-led, health-tech conference, organised by the KB Klub, a socio-philanthropic organisation of medical students from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos. This year, the conference returns under the theme “Tomorrow’s Healthcare, Today”, a challenge to rethink how the nation designs, delivers, and sustains its health systems.

From a Student Conference to a National Movement

Since its inception in 2017, STACK Reform has grown beyond expectations. Originally a student-organised forum on healthcare innovation, it has evolved into a nationwide movement influencing the vision, values, and leadership of the next generation of Nigerian healthcare professionals. It has become a movement that translates ideas into purposeful action.

Building on the success of previous editions, this year’s edition promises to be even more practical in its approach.

    A Health System Under Pressure

Across Nigeria, the story is familiar: overcrowded hospitals, under-resourced facilities, and a generation of young professionals watching their best ideas get lost in bureaucracy. Innovation often ends where it begins, in notebooks, hackathons, or conversations that never reach policymakers’ desks.

STACK Reform was built to change that.

By bringing students, professionals, policymakers, and entrepreneurs into the same room, it bridges the gap between imagination and implementation. The conference’s DNA is rooted in reform, and its annual gatherings have become safe spaces for critical dialogue and practical experimentation.

Inside STACK REFORM HEALTH FAIR 2025

This year’s lineup features industry leaders, policy shapers, and innovators who will explore one pressing question:

What does the future of healthcare look like, and who is building it?

Attendees can expect a full day of keynote sessions, panel discussions, and workshops tackling themes from digital health and medical innovation to system design and health equity.

But what truly distinguishes STACK Reform from other conferences is its insistence on action. Beyond the conversations, it shines a spotlight on real, working solutions that demonstrate what reform can look like in practice.

Innovation Takes the Stage: The Health-Tech Expo

A major highlight of the conference is the Health-Tech Expo, where five outstanding founders selected from over thirty applications nationwide will present their solutions to real-world health problems.

These innovators represent the growing wave of young Nigerians who are transforming healthcare through technology: building tools for remote patient monitoring, diagnostics, supply-chain efficiency, and health data management. Their work underscores the reality that innovation isn’t just a Silicon Valley phenomenon; it’s happening here, in Nigeria, driven by the boldness of youth.

Building the future early: The secondary school innovation challenge

STACK Reform ’25 also extends its reach to the next generation through the Northwest Petroleum Secondary School Innovation Competition, themed “Innovating for Good Health: Solutions for a Healthier Future.”

This segment invites secondary school students to dream, build, and present projects that tackle health challenges in their communities with the aim of inspiring curiosity and sowing seeds of innovation in their developing minds.

    A Vision Rooted in Reform

For Ayobami Saliu, Vice President of the KB Klub and Convener of STACK Reform, this conference is not just another event; it’s a continuation of a promise.

“STACK Reform ’25 is our way of building a bridge between today’s challenges and tomorrow’s solutions, one idea, one innovation, one reform at a time,” he said.

Underneath the panels, exhibitions, and competitions lies a deeper purpose: to redefine what youth participation in healthcare reform looks like, and to prove that meaningful change can start in university halls.

    More than a conference

STACK Reform has grown into a yearly awakening, one that challenges Nigeria’s healthcare sector to rethink how care is delivered, how systems are built, and how knowledge is shared. It’s a reminder that progress doesn’t belong to the future; it begins now, in the small but deliberate steps of those willing to build it.

As the countdown to November 22 continues, one truth remains clear: Tomorrow’s healthcare isn’t coming, it’s already here. And at STACK Reform ’25, you’ll find the people building it.
