If you are developer resident in Nigeria and you build apps that utilize Google’s API and platforms, you just might be one of the people the Google Nigeria team is looking to meet.
Google Nigeria is planning an event in the coming weeks, in collaboration with the Co-creation Hub, themed “Educate and Inspire”. The event will focus on showcasing the best of Google on mobile and will attract a varying audience of the media/journalists, mobile/telco partners, policy makers, content creators, SMB enablers, educators, social influencers and users. This is a great opportunity for independent developers to gain much needed exposure.
They are looking for apps that meet the following criteria:
- Must be locally developed
- Must utilize Google devices, APIs or platforms in a way that is central to the app and obvious to the user. Examples of APIs or platforms include:
- Android, Android Wear, Chrome Cast, Google TV, Google Cloud Platform, Chromebooks, Google glass, Google+, Drive, Maps etc
- Incorporates user interface and user experience best practices
- Must make sense in at least one the following scenarios:
- Use in a living room setting
- Use in a kitchen
- Use for travel
- Use in an educational setting a Student/Teen
- For a young professional specially as it relates to a home office or transitioning seamlessly between work and home
- Use on the go
