Tanzania based internet service provider, Spicenet, has announced its partnership with cloud service provider, Flexiant.

The aim of this collaboration is to provide cloud service to businesses on the Spicenet servers and also to provide SMEs with the option of self service.

According to the CEO of Flexiant, George Knox, “Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator has been selected to enable Spicenet to move from a managed service to a self-service buffet. Benefits of Flexiant include support for multiple hypervisors, multiple types of storage and a platform to support 24-hour sales opportunities.”

Spicenet did make it clear in the press release that they are aiming to pioneer cloud service in Tanzania and also capture a fair share of public cloud clientele which IDC has predicted a 84% compound annual growth rate for.

Founded in 2009, Spicenet focuses on providing internet solutions for SMEs in Tanzania. The company’s service currently covers Dar-es-salaam, Arusha and Mwanza.
