Uber Nairobi has kicked off Uber for Business.
Through this feature, businesses of all sizes will be able to create an Uber corporate account.
Uber for Business is Uber’s travel management platform that helps enterprises operate a centralized billing and management system for team members to ride on the enterprise tab.
According to Samantha Allenberg, Communications Associate for Uber Africa, “Businesses will be able to have reliable rides for employees, save on travel cost per employee every year, have centralised billing for all employees on one account, as well as insights into what’s being spent, by whom, and where.”
Uber for Business features includes: the date, time, and location settings which let businesses decide when and where employees can ride; and custom ride policy to every trip for guaranteed compliance. Only rides that follow the policy dictates will be approved and charged to the company account.
Uber for Business is already in Nigeria, and according to Ebi Atawodi, General Manager for Uber Lagos, some companies have already signed up for the service.
