In the last few months, the African cryptocurrency Industry has seen massive positives from substantial funding rounds to growing recognition by governmental agencies. The industry is ripe for a lot of growth in the coming months. Given these signals,  It was no surprise when we heard that “Naijacrypto,” one of Africa’s most robust exchanges, has expanded into five new African markets and Great Britain. This is in addition to its significant presence in Nigeria and Kenya. The African markets added are; Ghana, South Africa, Uganda, Cameroun, and Burundi. Their US dollar deposit was also re-opened, providing an option to the rest of the world.

This expansion was made evident in an email to their users from the Naijacrypto CEO Chiagozie Iwu. Further investigation shows that each new currency has one fiat deposit or withdrawal method. It is also apparent that new Fiat/crypto pairings have been added. However, Chiagozie has made it clear that more direct and cheaper deposit and withdrawal solutions for Fiat will be implemented in the coming months.

The Naijacrypto strategy is becoming more evident. They have always emphasized that they want to ensure that blockchain powers a parallel and more inclusive financial system in Africa. Naijacrypto has built a lot of amazing products in the past year, some of which are;

  1. A new mobile application that contains most of the same services it offers on its web platform.
  2. A revamp of its payment gateway “Naijapay.” It also built mobile apps for this service.
  3. Cryptocurrency-backed loans.
  4. Futures exchange.
  5. Staking module.
  6. Addition of Multi Chain Functionality.
  7. A revamped IEO module and lots more.

 It is expected that these additions will increase trading volumes in the coming weeks. These are in addition to already impressive volumes being traded. A quick chat with Naijacrypto’s Trading desk’s lead, Sylvester Kalu, revealed that Naijacrypto has had over Thirty million US dollars worth of Liquidity pass through its Retail and OTC desk over the last six months. This is impressive for an exchange the size of Naijacrypto. Sylvester also stated that, based on partnerships being secured, we are set to see a geometrical increase in trading volumes within the coming months.

Naijacrypto’s existing users seem to be excited about this expansion, with a user on their telegram group known simply as Cryptobull47 Stating that “this is too exciting. I have used Naijacrypto for almost a year now; I have seen a lot of additions on their platform within that time; nevertheless, this one tops it for me. I am glad to see an African exchange looking beyond borders.” Naijacrypto has had a cordial relationship with its users over the years. Its support is amicable and effective. Most of the features it adds are usually a response to user requests. This warm relationship shows in its high user retention rate.

We hope to see even more markets and features added in the coming months. Naijacrypto is solidifying its existence.
