The Mobile World Congress has been a showcase of strength so far

, as Sandisk has unveiled a high capacity microSD card with 200 gigabyte capacity.

In a post by the company, it was stated that the reason for creating such high capacity microSD card was to meet up with the voracious needs of today’s mobile device users. This move will allow users capture, share and receive files with ease as the 200GB memory card is said to have a file transfer speed of 90MB per second.

According to Dinesh Bahal, SanDisk’s vice president, product marketing, “By focusing on achieving new capacity and speed milestones, we are able to deliver trusted mobile memory solutions that give consumers the freedom to never stop capturing, saving, or sharing, with the benefit of fast speeds to transfer it all quickly.”

The SD card is said to be compatible with Android devices and tablets and will be available by the second quarter of the year.

The price might, however, be a drawback as it will be available for $400; but it comes with a 10 year limited warranty.
