Whatsapp’s calling feature has officially released for Android devices.

Unlike that brief period of beta testing when users were only able to activate the feature through invites from other Whatsapp VOIP users, Whatsapp voice calling is now out and won’t require a third party invite.

To get it activated;

1: Download the latest version of WhatsApp for Android: You can do so either from the Google Play Store or Whatsapp’s website.

Upon installation, the app’s interface will reflect the call log tab from which calls can be initiated to your Whatsapp contacts.

Though some news platforms report that the feature is only available on the 2.12.19, we discovered that the 2.12.5 also supports the feature.

The new release is limited to Android devices and while iOS users will have to wait for “several week”, according to a report from venturebeat, nothing is being said about the other mobile operating systems.
