Memeburn reports that Facebook for Every Phone is seeing prolific use, clocking a hundred million users a month. Even though global smartphone shipments have since outpaced feature phones since Q1 of 2013, dumbphones still hold the undisputed lion share of devices in use, especially in emerging markets.
The success of Facebook for Every Phone is largely attributable to the acquisition of Snaptu, a wildly successful multipurpose app that offered access to the most popular internet services and ran on any phone. The app was repurposed solely for Facebook in 2011.
