It’s no longer your choice, the new profiles are coming.
Twitter has announced that the profile update will be mandatory for everyone on the network, starting May 28. All Twitter users will now have the new profile, which has already been rolled out to new and existing users last month.

It’s uncertain how many people currently have the new profile, which has larger profile and header images, new timeline views and the capability to pin a tweet to the top of your profile page. It does appear that some users are still using the old layout and are not pleased with the coming switch. The major point of controversy is the resemblance that the new twitter profile page happens to share with Facebook. A lot of users dislike the Facebook look, or would just rather not have both networks looking so alike.
I don’t want the new @twitter profile, please give us the ability to choose between the new one or revert back to the previous layout. — J.D. (@iownjd) May 6, 2014
.@twitter changed the layout of my profile without my consent. And I don’t like the change. Any possibility of a change back? #OldisGood -SR

But then again, happy or not, the switch is close so maybe just do what they say and get ahead. Switch by yourself.
