Shortlist is a new Job Recruitment service that looks to redefine the way job seekers promote themselves online, while making it easier for potential employees to find them. It is the product of a collaboration with Philips Consulting Limited.
By opening up the Philips Consulting database to the public, Shortlist creates a platform for job seekers to be easily found by employers looking to connect based on skill matches and opportunities.
Creating a Shortlist account is free for both Employers and Candidates (job seekers). Employers can access the database of Candidates for free. Candidates however have to pay a monthly subscription to be included in the Philips Consulting database. Employers can then query the database, based on predefined requirement filters and Shortlist delivers candidates closest to the employees’ requirements.
The Philips Consulting advantage aside, Shortlist still has the likes of Jobberman and Ngcareers to compete against. It will be interesting to see how they hold up against the competition.
