I don’t think pawning is something we actively, or knowingly, do in Nigeria. For people who haven’t been there, there seems to be something, well, shady about these places but you may be missing out on some great bargains. I’m of the opinion that pawnshops are like a dozen garage sales and a flea market all rolled into one.

Cashdown Nigeria is now offering Nigerians, what they say is, a fast and secure online pawning platform. Users can sell or redeem their valuables for cash. The company aims not just in providing cash for items but also wishes to expand to giving payday loans for working class, full time pawning services whereby people can get a quick loan against physical collateral, buying brand new products from the store all with a free delivery service and replacing your old –pawned- goods by buying quality brand new products at a much cheaper rate for a ‘win-win’. All Cashdown transactions are completed in in 48 hours.
