Seed Academy, a South African based training program, has opened training centers for startup entrepreneurs in Johannesburg and Capetown.

Seed Academy is an entrepreneurial training program organised by Seed Engine targeted at coaching early stage tech-entrepreneurs and women entrepreneurs in other to help them realise their ideas and grow their businesses.

The free training program is said to be worth over ZAR 2.4 million ($210,000) and the program will run once a week for 10 weeks, between 6pm and 9pm.

According to Seed Academy CEO, Lara Rosmarin, “Throughout the programme we aim to nurture, develop and train the skill sets mindsets, attitudes and behaviours of potential high growth entrepreneurs and provide them with access to their next growth checkpoints. These include personal and leadership development, sound business skills, a business plan and pitching skills.” She went further to state, “We want our participants to succeed, so our relationship continues up to 18 months after the course ends.”

The information conveyed in the release made public by Seed Academy does not indicate the kickoff date and it also doesn’t appear to limit participation to startups within South Africa. However, it can be deduced that the “once a week” training program might not particularly favor those outside the region.
