TEDxUnilag will be hosting the first edition of TEDx in the University of Lagos.
The events is set to bring together the university’s students, both past and present, and other members of the society and get them to talk about ideas and subjects that can cause a mind shift and trigger innovation.
The event’s theme is ‘Breaking through the box’ and will feature various speakers. The event will hold on the 20th of March 2015 at the Julius Berger hall, University of Lagos, Akoka Yaba, Lagos.
According to the organisers,
“The event is aimed at highlighting exceptional Nigerians who are doing just what the tag says; breaking through the box. By showcasing people who are being innovative in different fields, and finding ways to circumvent the seemingly unfavorable Nigerian environment, we hope to spread ideas, which generate curiosity, spark further ideas, leading to further innovation in different sectors of our economy, particularly among the gifted and industrious youth of our great nation.”
TEDx is an independently organised event of the TED conference, which gives the independent organizers the opportunity to create TED-like events.
