WordsCountdown is the new game from local studio, Tolustar Games and the first thing you’ll notice is how it smoothly combined elements of our two favourite classic games, Boggle and Scrabble.

WordsCountdown is a word game that allows you to find possible words from an aggregate of letters (tiles) within a time frame. Every alphabet has a point value from 1 to 4, that’s Scrabble. And the alphabets are arranged in a 5 x 4 grid, Boggle derivative.

This is a cool, simple, intuitive time killer title, and what’s even more cool is the fun facts the game displays the end of every game. Check this out; “the longest one-word syllable in the English language is ‘screeched’. Splendid.

While a classic Boggle game gives a 3-minute time frame and Scrabble of course, could take eternity, WordsCountdown gives two minutes to find as many words as possible from the alphabet grid.

So, as you find words, your points accumulate and you are awarded bonuses each time you find a word with a point value higher than 7. These bonuses, you can use to purchase some, er..power ups like the ability to remove some odd alphabets or another one that adds few more seconds to your play window.

The game also has an achievement style reward system, like the one in your Temple Run and other popular endless runners. This game is no endless runner but it can get addictive pretty quickly, also because you can share these achievement online.

The game is available on the Play Store.
