Facebook’s user figures in Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa didn’t say anything we didn’t already know about mobile, but we didn’t quite imagine it’ll be this extreme. In Nigeria, a 100 percent of the 15 million that visit the social networking site monthly do so via Mobile, same for South Africa. The mobile dominance ebbed a bit in Kenya. Meanwhile, Smile raised $365 million in funding. And then; Africa, we believe, is in beta. The continent has stepped out of the chrysalis and it’s hardening its wings preparing to take the world.
