Yesterday, we received the news that Amazon will now deliver to Nigeria and Kenya, with no third party involvement. They will also handle custom clearances. Customers will be able to track their orders as they arrive.
We headed to Twitter to gather reactions to the story and here are some of them:
This guy was so excited that he tweeted at Amazon
@amazon thank you for now shipping to Nigeria!

And their Customer Service account replied, thanking him for the shout out. Cool.
@AudioMonkeyNg Thanks for the shout out, Dada! ^KD

And Ifemidayo has already started telling some people to pack and go.
I, too, was excited. So, I asked what people thought about the news and what it spells for some Nigerian-based eCommerce companies.
I got these responses:
Their sales will significantly decrease, but they won't die out just yet. https://t.co/n5QVr2puh1
