Andela Kenya is taking applications for its first all-female cohort, and ladies who are looking to become world class developers are encouraged to apply.

This will be Andela Kenya’s seventh fellowship cohort, scheduled to commence in May 2016.

Andela is a four-year paid Technical Leadership Programme designed to train elite software developers and placing with top global technology companies. The programme focuses on imparting the professional and technical skills that one would need in order to become a technology leader, both on the continent and around the world.

The Andela Fellowship Programme launched in Nigeria in September 2014, with the purpose of identifying talented young Africans with an interest in technology, and training them to become top developers for global firms.

The programme is highly competitive, with only one per cent of applicants accepted. After completing an initial phase of technical and soft skills training, the fellows join a remote team with one of Andela’s partner companies around the world within six months.

For this cohort, Andela is looking for talented, ambitious women with an interest in technology. The application submission deadline is April 8th, 2016. Applicants will be interviewed between April 20 and April 22, and those chosen will attend a bootcamp between April 25 and May 6. The Fellowship will then run from May 2016 to May 2020.
