The 2016 Nigeria International Technology Exhibition and Conference (NITEC) is holding in Lagos from June 23 – 24, 2016 at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island. NITEC is a conference that brings together various players in the Nigerian tech ecosystem to discuss issues and develop ways to improve the sector.
Barr. Adebayo Shittu, Nigeria’s Minister of Communication, Prof. Umar Danbattta, the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta, and the Acting Director-General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Dr. Vincent Olatunji will speak at the conference.
According to the press release, NITEC is a Nigerian version of tech Olympics, and the conference provides an atmosphere where the most innovative startups get to converse with the major players in digital transformation.
In their words, “Through NITEC 2016, startups can be assured and reassured of a purpose-built environment, serving as a real-time platform for collaboration and a high-level stage for discussions around the impact technology has on both multinationals, medium and small businesses and the society at large.”
Other parties that can gain from this conference include telcos, ISPs and other service vendors.
