mest garden chat

The Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) Ghana is holding an informal evening chat to help women in technology network and learn from each other.

The garden chat is happening this Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm

at Crystal Park Events, East Legon, Accra. MEST Lagos General Manager, Neku Atawodi and the three Tress cofounders – Priscilla Hazel, Esther Olatunde, and Cassandra Sarfo – are going to be there to share their experiences and answer whatever questions come their way.

This event is part of MEST’s efforts to encourage young women’s interest in STEM-related fields and entrepreneurship. One of their goals is “to demystify misconceptions about careers in technology, inspire more women to take the bold step of starting their businesses, and encourage mutually beneficial relationships between attendees” and so far, they’ve been successful – the women-to-men ratio at MEST has increased from 10% female entrepreneurs in training (EITs) in 2008 to 30% in 2015.

The Garden Chat with MEST Women in Technology will moderated by Kelechi Udoagwu, (cofounder of Skrife and Communications/Recruitment fellow at MEST). Registration is free but there are only 50 slots available. If you’re interested in attending this event click here to save your seat.
