    Calling All Young Innovators: Apply Now for the Agribusiness Innovation Challenge!

    Do you have a brilliant idea to improve Nigeria’s food supply chain? Are you a young entrepreneur (aged 18-35) with a passion for agriculture and technology? Then the Agribusiness Innovation Challenge is for you!

    This exciting initiative, co-created by the Nigeria Climate Innovation Center (NCIC) and the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), seeks to identify and empower the next generation of agritech leaders.

    The Challenge:

    • Develop and scale innovative solutions that address food safety challenges and build a healthier food supply chain.
    • Cater to the needs of a growing Nigerian population while tackling climate change issues.

    We’re looking for solutions in areas like:

    • Supply Chain Traceability: Utilizing technology (blockchain, smart sensors) to track food from farm to fork, ensuring safety and quality.
    • Last-Mile Distribution Networks: Deploying technology platforms to improve access to agricultural inputs and produce in remote areas.
    • Climate-Smart Financing: Developing innovative financial products that help farmers manage climate risks.
    • Agricultural Productivity and Efficiency: Optimizing processing techniques and equipment to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
    • Post-Harvest Loss Management: Creating solutions for better post-harvest handling, storage, processing, and distribution practices.
