Wayne Parker Limited has launched LottoNowNow, an online lottery gaming platform that aims to transform the gaming experience in Nigeria. The platform, licensed by the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority in December 2024, promises a secure, transparent, and engaging environment for players.
Speaking at the launch event, Adejumo Atiba, Non-Executive Director of Wayne Parker Limited, explained the vision behind the platform. “We noticed that the Nigerian lottery industry wasn’t evolving as quickly as customer preferences and advancing technology. This gap presented an opportunity for us (Wayne Parker Limited) to create something transformative,” he said.
LottoNowNow operates on an on-demand model, a departure from traditional lottery systems. “Our games run continuously, with results triggered as soon as the required stakes are met. This gives players faster, more flexible, and more frequent winning opportunities,” Atiba added. The platform also features a tiered winning system, allowing multiple winners per game. “Your big win starts with friends. You can win with family, friends, or even strangers,” said Michelle Oleah, Product Manager of LottoNowNow. The platform offers a variety of games, with stakes ranging from ₦100 to ₦100,000 and potential winnings of up to ₦100 million. Each game displays the category, timer, number of stakes, and payout amount, enabling players to choose their preferred stakes and potential rewards.
The event was attended by a diverse group of industry leaders and stakeholders. Notable attendees included Wema Bank Plc represented by Mr. Benard Ofuyah, and key officials from the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority—Abimbola Adefulu (Senior Operations Officer), Olayemi Akintade (Principal Operations Officer), Tolani Omotosho (Operations Officer), and Mofopefoluwa Oyediran (Operations Intern). Also present was Mr. Temitope Runsewe (Chairman) of Sage Grey Technologies, along with many other distinguished guests.
Addressing concerns about regulatory compliance and addiction, Atiba emphasized that LottoNowNow adheres to strict regulatory standards. “We were licensed by the Lagos State Lottery License Board after a thorough review of our product,” he said. The platform is restricted to users aged 18 and above, with a focus on responsible gaming. “We advise players to game responsibly. Our platform is designed to be a healthy gaming environment,” Atiba noted.
To ensure data privacy and financial security, LottoNowNow uses an escrow management system. “Each user has a wallet secured by a unique PIN, known only to them. This ensures that funds are safe and accessible only with their consent,” Atiba explained.
Olayemi Jinadu, Senior Advisor at Sage Grey Technologies Limited, highlighted plans to integrate emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain. “AI will help us personalize the gaming experience by predicting the types of games that interest specific users. Blockchain will enhance transparency in computing and distributing winnings,” Jinadu said.
The LottoNowNow platform was developed by Sage Grey Technologies. Currently, the platform is web-based and accessible on any web-enabled device. “We plan to expand to mobile apps and offline capabilities in the future,” Jinadu added.
Michelle Oleah demonstrated how to use the platform. “Create and verify your account, set a secure transaction PIN, and browse the available games. Once you stake and the game completes, you can cash out. If the game doesn’t meet the required number of participants, your stake is instantly refunded,” she explained.
To mark the launch, LottoNowNow is offering new users a promo code, GAME ON, which provides ₦200 to play their first game.
