Cryptocurrency adoption in Nigeria continues to grow rapidly, yet for many users, the experience remains unnecessarily complex. From downloading multiple apps to navigating confusing interfaces and dealing with slow withdrawals, everyday users often find crypto difficult to access and use.

Sollo is addressing this challenge by rethinking how Nigerians interact with digital assets by bringing crypto directly to WhatsApp.

    Crypto, made simple

Sollo is an AI-powered WhatsApp crypto wallet created by Emeka Nwonye and developed by Ellvara X Limited, a new IT Company co-founded by Emeka Nwonye and Onyegwu Divine. The wallet is designed to allow users to send, receive, swap cryptocurrency to naira, and withdraw directly to their bank accounts, all through simple WhatsApp messages. Sollo is built entirely inside WhatsApp, used by 95% of Nigeria’s 31.6 million social media users.

Emeka Nwonye, creator of Sollo AI, emphasises the platform’s vision: “We want to revolutionise how people do crypto transactions in Nigeria and Africa at large. Sollo is built for everyone, including people with no prior knowledge of blockchain technology or complex crypto languages.”

Users begin by visiting the Sollo website, where a single click connects them directly to the Sollo AI on WhatsApp. From there, all interactions, including transactions and support, happen inside WhatsApp, removing the need for complex platforms or multiple applications.

By leveraging artificial intelligence, Sollo understands natural language commands and guides users through transactions seamlessly.

This approach removes one of the biggest barriers to crypto adoption: usability.

    How Sollo Works

    Using Sollo is straightforward:

    1. The user visits Sollo.ng and clicks “Get Started with Sollo.”
    2. A WhatsApp chat with the Sollo AI opens instantly.
    3. The user sends a message requesting an action.
    4. The AI chatbot processes the request in real time.
    5. The user securely confirms the transaction.
    6. The transaction is executed, and confirmation is sent via WhatsApp.

Whether it’s sending funds to another wallet, swapping crypto to naira, checking balances, or withdrawing to a bank account, the entire process happens within a familiar chat interface.

    Direct bank withdrawals

One of Sollo’s key features is the ability to withdraw crypto directly to Nigerian bank accounts.

This functionality addresses a major pain point for users who struggle with delayed or complicated cash-out processes on traditional platforms. With Sollo, users can convert their crypto and receive funds directly into their bank accounts, making crypto more practical for everyday use.

    Security and compliance

Sollo places strong emphasis on security and regulatory compliance. The platform integrates KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) checks to protect users and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Additional security layers, such as transaction confirmations and controlled access, help safeguard user funds while maintaining ease of use.

Built for Africa’s growing crypto market

Nigeria is one of Africa’s leading crypto markets, with millions of users actively trading and using digital assets. However, many platforms are built with global audiences in mind, often overlooking local needs.

Sollo is designed specifically for African users, prioritising simplicity, accessibility, and local banking integration. By combining AI, WhatsApp, and financial infrastructure, the platform aims to make crypto usable not just for experienced traders but also for first-time users.

    Launch and availability

Sollo is launching on February 23rd, with plans to onboard early users and expand features based on community feedback.

As crypto adoption continues to rise across Africa, solutions like Sollo demonstrate how familiar technology and smart design can lower barriers and bring digital finance closer to everyday users.
