The Ooni of Ife pledges his support for Moment by Mainstack, a landmark gathering of 4,000 creators, 30+ speakers, and hundreds of brands across Africa, set for March 13 – 15, 2026, in Lagos.
On the 25th of February, 2026, the team behind Moment by Mainstack, led by the CEO, Ayobami Oyaleke, visited the palace of His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, to seek his blessing and support ahead of one of Africa’s most ambitious creator economy events. The Ooni received the team warmly and pledged his backing for the event.
Moment by Mainstack is a 3-day gathering scheduled for March 13 – 15, 2026, at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, Nigeria. The event aims to bring together over 4,000 creators from across the African continent, hundreds of brands, and more than 30 speakers across three simultaneous stages, making it one of the largest gatherings of African creators in recent history.
The visit to the Ooni’s palace was rooted in a belief that has shaped Moment from its earliest stages: that African creators are more than content producers. They are the continent’s storytellers. In the same way, a single photographer and a wave of digital creators once carried the Ojude Oba festival from Ijebu-Ode to the global stage; African creators today are the most powerful vehicles for the exportation and preservation of African culture.
Moment exists to bring those storytellers together, and it felt only right to receive a blessing from one of Africa’s most significant custodians of that culture.

“At Mainstack, we understand that African creators are not just building businesses or earning social media engagement. They are carrying our culture forward. In bringing 4,000 of them together under one roof at Moment, it felt only right that we first seek the blessing of a custodian of that culture. The Ooni’s support is of immense value to us and to every creator who will walk through those doors in March.”
— Ayobami Oyaleke, CEO, Mainstack
The Ooni expressed his admiration for the initiative and his love for seeing young Africans innovate and build at this scale. His endorsement adds a cultural dimension to what is already shaping up to be a defining moment for Africa’s creator economy.

Beyond the gathering itself, Moment by Mainstack will feature a $3,000 grant and product giveaways designed to give creators tools and resources to grow their businesses. The event represents Mainstack’s wider commitment to building both communal and digital infrastructure for the current and next generation of creative entrepreneurs.
