Ayotunde first made his mark as a creative force in Nigeriaโs entertainment scene, putting pageantry back on the map after years of relative obscurity. He drove the mainstream success of pageant winners, guiding their careers into film and top runway shows across Lagos, London, Milan, South Africa, Ghana, and beyond. From his humble beginnings in Akure, he built his creative agency, House of Twitch, into an internationally recognised brand, operating in over 20 countries and attracting delegates from more than 30 nations to its events.
While widely celebrated in entertainment, Ayotunde was simultaneously developing a deeper capability, one rooted in audience behaviour, data-driven strategy, and scalable growth systems. Behind the viral campaigns and large-scale productions was a structured understanding of how ideas grow, how communities form, and how influence translates into measurable outcomes. These competencies would later become the foundation for his transition into technology and startup growth.
The turning point came in 2020, during the global disruption caused by COVID-19. A former colleague at Donate NG engaged him as a marketing lead, with a mandate to drive subscriber growth and revenue. He successfully tripled the subscriber base, leading to a substantial increase in revenue. Since then, Ayotunde has supported the growth of multiple African startups, including Japaflex and Owllup, and currently serves as a Growth Launcher in the fintech space.
His work sits at a critical intersection, bridging the gap between technical innovation and real user needs. Speaking at Lagos Startup Week in 2023, Ayotunde emphasised the importance of collaboration between tech and non-tech sectors, noting that true growth happens when businesses move beyond assumptions to deeply understand and deliver what customers actually need. This philosophy defines his approach today, serving as a bridge between product, culture, and market realities.
Beyond metrics, Ayotunde represents a new archetype within Africaโs digital economy, one that merges creative excellence with analytical precision. His journey underscores the value of transferable skills and continuous evolution. As he puts it, โThe tools I developed in entertainment were never just about content; they were about understanding people, driving action, and scaling impact. Thatโs what growth strategy is about.โ
Now fully immersed in the tech ecosystem, he credits collaboration and mentorship from leadership at LemFi as key to navigating and contributing meaningfully to an industry that thrives on shared knowledge.
Ayotundeโs impact extends beyond business. He has contributed to social development initiatives, including supporting the construction of a school in South Sudan, providing scholarships to young people in Eastern Nigeria, and distributing clothing and essential supplies in Ghana and Cรดte dโIvoire. His work reflects a broader commitment to using influence as a force for good across communities.
His achievements have earned him over 25 awards spanning entertainment, fashion, technology, entrepreneurship, and social impact. He has been recognised as Digital Marketer of the Year at the Lagos Entrepreneurs Awards and listed among the Most Influential People of African Descent under 40 at the United Nations General Assembly. He is also a recipient of the UK Global Talent endorsement for digital innovation and has been named among the Power 100, the UKโs Most Influential African Entrepreneurs by Crest Africa.
From shaping culture through entertainment to scaling businesses through technology, Ayotunde Twitch exemplifies a modern African professional whose journey mirrors the continentโs evolution, dynamic, innovative, and impact-driven. In bridging creativity and technology, he has not only found his niche but defined a new path for others to follow.
