
In her role as Brand Ambassador, Mercy Johnson will help amplify RYD Learning’s mission to deliver accessible, high-quality STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education to children across Africa and the global diaspora. This collaboration will focus on promoting practical problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and digital literacy among young learners.
At the official unveiling event in Abuja, Philip Etim, Founder of RYD Learning, expressed excitement about the new partnership: “Every child deserves access to top-quality tech education, regardless of their background or location. Our goal is to equip African children with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in today’s rapidly evolving tech landscape, thereby creating brighter futures for themselves and their communities.”
Etim also highlighted RYD Learning’s growth, with over 1,000 children from Africa, Australia, Europe, and North America having been trained through engaging virtual classes and interactive, hands-on sessions. The curriculum, designed for children aged 6 to 16, includes popular programming languages like Python and focuses on fostering essential skills such as critical thinking, innovation, and effective communication.

“Our curriculum is designed to be fun, interactive, and engaging,” Etim added. “It focuses on practical skills that children will need to excel in the digital age.”
Mercy Johnson, in her remarks, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: “As a mother and advocate for children’s education, I am thrilled to partner with RYD Learning. I firmly believe in equipping children with the skills they need to excel in today’s tech-driven world.”
