On Saturday, June 21st, over 200 developers, founders, and Web3 enthusiasts gathered at the Hall of Odin, beside Wave Beach in Lekki Phase 1, for “0G Road to Mainnet – Lagos.”
The event was hosted by Nirvana Academy in partnership with OG Labs, and it wasn’t just another crypto meetup. It was a powerful moment in Africa’s Web3 journey especially as OG Labs, the world’s first and largest decentralized AI (DeAI) Layer 1 ecosystem, brought its vision straight to the continent.
0G, the world’s first and largest DeAI Layer 1 ecosystem, isn’t just expanding into Africa to onboard users. It’s building with a bold belief that – Africa is not just a market, it’s a hub of builders.
The event kicked off with attendee registration and check-ins, strictly by invitation. Guests were welcomed into a relaxed but focused atmosphere.

XeusTheGreat, founder of Nirvana Academy, opened the gathering with a warm introduction, setting the tone for a day of insight, dialogue and shared vision.
One of the biggest highlights came from Michael Heinrich, Co-founder and CEO of OG Labs and Ada, one of the project’s Team.
In a deep, forward-looking conversation titled “Why the Future of AI Depends on Blockchains,” Heinrich broke down how decentralized infrastructure is key to making AI more transparent, secure, and fair. His talk opened up real conversations about what’s possible when blockchain and AI work together.

After a short tea break, the room reconvened for a vibrant Q&A session featuring prominent crypto voices, including Ndidi Gram, Bloomstar BMS, Elisha, and XeusTheGreat.
Together, they answered questions about building in the DeAI space, shared their views on the African dev community, and touched on the current trends going on in the crypto space today.
Later on, a series of builders took to the stage to pitch what they’re building on OG Labs. These weren’t just ideas, they were real, live projects tackling use cases across finance, Data, and Decentralized Finance, all powered by OG’s infrastructure. The energy in the room was high, with the audience asking questions, and giving feedback.
The event also drew some of the most recognizable faces in Africa.
Tunde Onakoya gave an inspiring speech to the room, Creators and influencers including @cryptall3, @bloomstarbms, @NDIDI_GRAM, @VanessaDefi, @0xKylieee, @PrudentSammy, @0xSese, and @TheEwansEffect were also in attendance.

Beyond the talks and pitches, the entire experience stood out. Refreshments were provided, the space was safe and welcoming, and the energy stayed high all day and attendees were given space to connect and network.
After the event, many Attendees shared their favorite moments, photos, and reflections on the Timeline, and some even shared that it was one of the best crypto events they’d been to in Nigeria this year.
OG Labs’ presence in Lagos wasn’t just an event. It signalled a deeper commitment to empowering local talent not only to use DeAI tools but to shape the very infrastructure behind them.
It was a reminder that Africa isn’t on the sidelines of the future. It’s building it!
