barcamp

It’s not too long ago we were asking what happened to Barcamp Nigeria. Well, after a 2 year-long hiatus, Barcamp Nigeria will finally return this August.

BarCamp is an international network of user-generated unconferences primarily focused around technology and the web. An unconference is a participant-driven gathering where all attendees are both speakers and learners. Everyone comes with something to share and is given a platform to share it.

The first edition of Barcamp Nigeria was held in Lagos back in 2009. It went on for 2 consecutive years before going on a long break after 2011. It will return this August with a focus on Startups. A keynote will be delivered by Ayodeji  Adewunmi, CEO of Jobberman and co-host of first Barcamp Nigeria held in 2009. Event details are below:

Theme: StartUp; bootstrapping your way to launch
Date: 16th August 2014
Venue: Co-creation Hub – 294 Herbert Macaulay Way, Sabo, Yaba, Lagos
Time: 10am – 5pm

Registration is free.

Barcamp Nigeria is hosted by Sheriff Shittu. For more info, visit www.barcamp.ng
