The Sui Lagos Meetup delivered a high-energy, five-hour showcase of Africa’s Web3 momentum, bringing together 220 in-person attendees from a pool of 800 eager registrants at Good House, Ikeja. Developers, innovators, and blockchain enthusiasts filled the room with conversations, demos, and ideas that reaffirmed Lagos as one of the continent’s most dynamic hubs for Web3 adoption.

Organised by Ukeje Goodness, Jennifer Okoh, and Joshua Orhue of Sui Nigeria, and powered by the Sui Foundation, the event was designed as more than just another blockchain meetup. It became a platform for learning, collaboration, and future-shaping conversations that underscored Sui’s commitment to growing grassroots communities worldwide.
Backed by top ecosystem projects such as Nexa, GiveRep, TradePort, FullSail, and SuiMarket, the gathering reflected the strength of global support behind African builders. But it wasn’t just international names in the spotlight; homegrown innovators like Fluxpay, Linq, and SuiDeFi.info brought forward their products, proving that Africa isn’t just adopting blockchain, it’s actively building solutions for its own markets and beyond.

The energy in the room didn’t stop at networking. Immediately after the meetup, participants moved to SuiHub at 371 Borno Way, Alagomeji, Yaba, for a Buildathon, a hands-on sprint designed to empower developers to craft community-driven projects and ecosystem tools that strengthen Sui’s growing presence in Africa.
Sui Lagos is part of the broader Sui community, a regional chapter expanding the reach of the Sui Network across Nigeria. As a next-generation Layer 1 blockchain, Sui is purpose-built for scalability, security, and developer-friendly experiences, giving communities the infrastructure to build innovative Web3 applications that scale from local to global.
By hosting meetups like this, Sui Lagos is not only advancing blockchain education and adoption but also ensuring that Africa’s brightest talents are plugged into one of the most promising ecosystems shaping the decentralized internet.
