Peter Adomokai’s career reflects a non-linear but intentional journey through engineering, software development, and community building. Trained originally in Mechanical Engineering, he has built a multi-sector technology career spanning healthcare, energy optimisation, fintech, data analytics, and digital infrastructure across Africa, Europe, and North America.

His interest in technology began early, shaped by childhood curiosity around video games and exposure to programming through a family member. After university, Peter entered the workforce in a design role, but a pivotal moment came when he independently taught himself frontend development over a single weekend to demonstrate that a proposed design could be built. The successful implementation marked his transition into software engineering and set the direction for his professional path.

Since then, Peter has worked across several industries, contributing to technically complex and high-impact systems. In the United Kingdom, he supported intelligent trip-planning and clean-energy load-balancing projects at A-Deus. In the United States, he worked on election analytics dashboards at WPA Intelligence, supporting data-driven decision-making during major political cycles. His experience also includes work on blockchain-based art provenance systems at Arcual in Switzerland, real-time financial dashboards at Flux in Nigeria, and security analytics tools for enterprise clients in the United States.

Currently, Peter works as a Software Engineering Manager at Helium Health, one of Africa’s leading digital health companies. His contributions include supporting the modernisation of electronic medical record systems, improving patient and clinician workflows, and contributing to the integration of AI-assisted clinical tools used by healthcare providers across multiple African countries. He has noted that working on systems that directly affect patient care and clinical efficiency has been among the most meaningful aspects of his career.

Beyond his professional roles, Peter is actively involved in ecosystem development. He co-founded Consonance, a community and product-focused initiative designed to support early-stage African technologists, designers, and founders. Through mentorship, collaborative workshops, and technical guidance, Consonance provides practical support for individuals navigating the early stages of building technology products.

Peter also serves on the board of HAY Foundation Africa, a nonprofit organisation focused on mental health advocacy and youth wellbeing. His involvement reflects a broader interest in social impact, particularly around creating supportive environments for young people and technical professionals.

At present, Peter is involved in ongoing engineering work at Helium Health, the continued growth of Consonance, and the refinement of Out, a travel-intelligence platform he founded. He is also quietly developing a new product expected to be revealed in 2026.

Peter describes his guiding principle as building with intention and learning continuously. Across industries and communities, his work centres on applying technology in ways that are practical, human-centred, and capable of delivering lasting impact.
