CapitalSage Technology, an integrated digital financial services group focused on driving inclusive financial growth across Africa, has called on women within its workforce to step boldly into leadership roles and take greater ownership of their career journeys.
The call was made during the organisation’s International Women’s Day event, where employees and senior executives gathered for a reflective session centred on confidence, performance and intentional development. The occasion also featured the unveiling of a new internal mentorship programme designed to support younger female professionals with guidance around structured career growth from more experienced female professionals.
In her opening address, Dr Yemisi Shittu, Group Executive Director at CapitalSage Holdings, highlighted the importance of nurturing women who are technically competent, emotionally intelligent and self-aware.
She noted that emotional maturity, resilience and the ability to build meaningful relationships are critical qualities that enable women to navigate complex workplace dynamics and grow into impactful leaders.

A highlight of the event was a panel discussion moderated by Olabisi Ogebe, Head of Business at Tiki, a subsidiary of CapitalSage Technology. The session brought together leaders like Yvonne Akintomide, Managing Director of Regius Asset Management; Simisola Ojumu, Managing Director of Regius Capital; and Dr Moyosore Odeniyi, Group Head, Audit at CapitalSage Holdings, who shared practical insights drawn from their career journeys.
The panellists encouraged younger professionals to stretch beyond their comfort zones and consistently raise the standards they set for themselves. They also advised participants to seek experienced professionals who can provide perspective, encourage introspection and support intentional decision-making.
Building on this focus, Mr Nath Ude, Group Chief Executive Officer of CapitalSage Technology, announced the launch of an internal mentoring programme that will pair younger female employees with experienced professionals across the organisation.
“We want our women to become trailblazers not simply because they are women, but because they are high performers who are ready to lead and make a meaningful impact,” he said.

The initiative is expected to enhance professional exposure, build confidence and enable participants to navigate their careers more effectively.
The event concluded with a renewed sense of purpose among participants, who were encouraged to take ownership of their growth journeys and approach future opportunities with greater confidence and clarity.
