The Internet of Things (IoT) accelerator program, jointly supported by Cisco, Intel and Deustche Telkom has opened for applications. The accelerator program is focused on startups from or based in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The main objective of the program is to help these start-ups enter the global market faster through joint projects, product development, corporate assets, high-value networking and mentoring. Selected start-ups may also receive strategic investments and support commercializing their product for global markets.

“No strings attached: selected startups do not have to worry about fees, they participate for free with no equity required and keep their own intellectual property” a statement on their website reads.

The key elements of the program include a turbo acceleration week (to be held from June 22-26) and a four month incubation program (July to October), which will take place in Krakow, Berlin and Vienna.

“The founding fathers of this initiative are looking forward to the creative ideas for new products and services from across the region to improve people’s life and work processes. By giving startups access to the complementary resources of three global companies we want to help young innovators accelerate their ideas into commercial success” another statement on the website reads.

Interested participants from the regions stated above may apply either as a contestant, coach/mentor or jury; alternatively, they may register via the sponsor’s Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn social media accounts.
