iAfrikan, an independent technology website, has created platforms that allow the South African public report xenophobic attacks via SMS, Twitter, e-mail or through its website.
“We believe the reports submitted will assist others in avoiding potentially dangerous areas and also help to make law enforcement more efficient,” Peter Peele, Co-Founder, iAfrikan said in a report on TechMoran.
As at the time of writing this article, there are about 88 reports on the iAfrikan xenophobia report web module. The website features a map that displayed red dots signifying generated Xenophobic reports which can be unbundled to display specific color-coded categories of reports including police activity and evacuation.Report xenophobia related incidents

“All these events (xenophobic attacks) are criminal activities by individuals who are predisposed to attacking people based on their nationality;” Tefo Mohapi, Co-Founder, iAfrikan.
