Tuteria, a Nigeria-based online platform that connects people seeking to learn with those who can teach the subject or skill in their neighbourhood, will launch tomorrow.
Developed by Godwin Benson, a graduate of systems engineering from the University of Lagos, Tuteria helps connect qualified tutors, instructors, coaches and mentors with clients who wish to prepare for exams or acquire vocational skills within the immediate environment of the learner.
“Tuteria is built on trust. We have gone the extra mile to ensure your absolute peace of mind when hiring or tutoring, as well as maintain a secure platform for collecting and transferring payments after lessons have been delivered, which helps to protect your data, monitor lessons and resolve any complaints,” Tuteria says on their website.
The website features private tutoring in more than 450 approved subjects, skills and exams. A user simply needs to enter his or her subject and their location to find a tutor.
The developers are one of the winners of Microsoft Mobile Devices and Services (MMDS) “From Passion to Empire” campaign in April 2015, where they raised N3.5 million.
