The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Joseph Kabila Kabange, does not have a Twitter account. Neither does he use social media for official communication. In fact. he refers to Twitter as “Tweeter”.
In a statement read on Thursday, October 15, the office of President of the Republic stated that “ill-intentioned people publish through social networks, especially “Tweeter”, messages they wrongly attribute to the head of the State or his family.”
Communiqué: President Kabila of DRC says:
1. I do not use "Tweeter"
2. People are using my name
3. It is a criminal pic.twitter.com/7qWKxincCL— Nnenna (@nnenna) October 16, 2015
But we looked for his other internet profiles though. Turns out the official website of the DRC Presidency no longer functions. Same thing with President Kabila’s campaign website. The closest we could get to a website for him was his Wikipedia page.
How refreshing!
