The Young Adults and Youth Affairs (YAYA) of The Redeemed Christian Church of God have announced the launch of the 2019 Kingdom Hack, aimed at leveraging innovation to inspire and enable sustainable redistribution of income and greater generosity.

YAYA in a statement said the Kingdom Hack 2019 is in its second year with the avowed commitment to solving social problems through innovation. “In alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals 1,2,3,4, this year’s edition looks to discover, Invest and Scale innovative, cutting-edge technologies with the potential to transform Nigeria’s economy through sustainable income redistribution”. 

The challenge underscores YAYA and RCCG’s commitment to innovation and social impact, underlining its commitment to poverty eradication in Nigeria.

During the entry period, applications will be received on the Kingdom Hack website (www.kingdomhack.org) from anyone with innovative technological solutions that demonstrate a strong potential to enable Financial Inclusion, Health, Agric financing, Education, etc.

Applications open in October 2019. Applications are expected from students, developers, designers, fintechs and tech startups. 

At the end of the application period, up to 10 shortlisted applications will be unveiled and the successful applicants invited to participate in a bootcamp aimed at providing them with access to coach-mentors, community experts, stakeholders, and strategic partnerships. 

This will be followed by a pitch where only one winner will emerge.

The winning entry will receive total funding support of $5,000 (₦1.8 million) towards scaling their solutions and venture support including the provision of specialized support based on their specific project needs. They will also receive advice regarding the deployment and management of funding received.
