Vodacom

An aggrieved customer of the South African mobile telecommunications operator, Vodacom, has erected three huge banners in protest of the poor services from the telco, reports TechCentral.

The Vodacom customer, who according to Techcentral couldn’t be named as at the the of the report, resides at Fochville, a small farming and mining town in Western Gauteng, South Africa.

One of the banners read:“Vodacom cannot give signal/coverage to this part of Fochville (those ads about coverage are probably bull…).”

In an attempt at damage control, a Vodacom spokesman said in a statement to Techcentral that “there are two base stations in Fochville which provide coverage for the area. This customer’s property in particular sits in the radio shadow of a hill, and it doesn’t have a great signal.”

No doubt the customer got Vodacom’s attention, albeit, in an unconventional way.
