BlackBerry has announced the release of the Blackberry Leap into the Nigerian mobile phone market.
This was made known in a press release made available to TechCabal today.
The BlackBerry Leap is a 5-inch HD display all touch phone with 2800 mAh battery, 8 megapixel rear camera, 16GB expandable memory, touchscreen keyboard, Blackberry’s PC sync feature; BlackBerry Blend, BlackBerry’s voice Assistant and a dual app storefront with BlackBerry World and the Amazon appstores. Leap runs on the latest BlackBerry 10 operating system.
Earlier in March, BlackBerry Limited revealed BlackBerry Leap at the Mobile World Congress. The smartphone has been available for pre-order in Nigeria and will now retail for between NGN45,000 ($226) to NGN70,000 ($351).
