Currently, the only Apple products officially distributed in Nigeria are iPads and Macs. Practically every iPhone user in Nigeria got their device through other means, in full knowledge that they might be forgoing aftersales support and warranty claims. But this is about to change

Core Group Africa, authorized Apple distributors in Africa, have confirmed that starting this April, Nigerians can begin purchasing iPhones at any of the Authorised Apple Resellers.

This new development is probably not unrelated to Airtel’s iPhone offering which we reported earlier this week. But there’s more. Potential buyers who have salary accounts with Stanbic IBTC bank will be able to purchase iPhones from any of the authorised resellers at zero initial cost. They can pay later with monthly installment spread over 12 months.
