The Nokia XL, the bigger and supposedly more powerful version of the Nokia X is finally up for sale in Nigeria. It will set you back ₦ 30,000 – about ₦ 10,000 more than the smaller Nokia X goes for.
The Nokia XL has one and a half times (768 MB) the RAM of the Nokia X, spots a 5-inch display, slightly bigger battery and, unlike its smaller cousin, a 5 MP with auto focus and flash. It also ships with a 2 MP front-facing camera to for all your selfie needs. All round, on paper, it should be a better experience than the Nokia X.
Interestingly, at announcement, the Nokia XL was slated to retail for equivalent of ₦ 25,000. Its smaller cousin, the Nokia X did retail for the promised price of less than 20k immediately it became available. It is not clear why the case is different with the XL. It will be interesting to observe price trends in the coming weeks. It will be equally interesting to observe its performance in comparison with the Nokia X
