The DevCon Alpha Developer contest is hosted by Mobile Monday in partnership with Verve, Microsoft and Nokia.
A combined effort towards helping developers monetize apps, developers are encouraged to integrate the new Verve Payment SDK into their Windows 8 and Windows Phone apps. As an incentive, participants stand the chance of winning $300,000 in advertising and prize money. This enables the winner to get more downloads and reach a wider audience while focusing on making the application better through updates (new features and bug fixes).
The Grand Finale for the contest holds today the 26th of May, 2014. 10 shortlisted apps have made it to the final. The developers of these apps will do battle for the $300,000 grand prize.
