In 2013, 9 startups participated in the first edition of the Techlaunchpad, a Public Private incubation programme focused on promoting software technology development among local entrepreneurs, iSec inclusive. iSec then went on to raise $10M from local investment firm, Synergy Capital. The 9 successful startups were mentored and are all in the process of seeking their first round funding from VCs.
Now, the minister for Communication Technology, Mrs Omobola Johnson is calling on startups to apply for the second cohort of Techlaunchpad, Techlaunchpad v2.0. For this edition the ministry is looking for beta versions applications for the Agriculture, building & construction, health and telecommunication sectors. Showcase your software for a chance to be funded and mentored.
Applications close tomorrow, the 5th of July. Interested developers can apply here. Shortlisted candidates will progress into the incubation programme.
