Registration has commenced for the startup incubator program, Hack.Jozi challenge set to hold in Johannesburg.
The program is targeted at digital entrepreneurs with innovative ideas that can have direct impact on their individual communities.
Interested applicants are expected to pitch their ideas through a video recording not exceeding 2 minutes. The video and other informations about the startup will then be submitted on Hack.Jozi’s webpage.
Successful applicants will go for a month long business and technical training in Jozi’s digital hub where they will be expected to demonstrate their business value proposition.
Successful startups at the program will be awarded ZAR 5,000,000 (USD 431,231) and will be mentored.
According to the organizers, “#Hack.Jozi Challenge is a boot camp for start-up entrepreneurs and our aim is to contribute towards fostering skills, innovation and entrepreneurship in the broad area of digital technology.”
Submission of proposals has already began and will end 15 February 2015.
