But before that, there’s a Pre-Hackathon workshop which prepares the team for the HackJos Hackathon. All applicants are required to come with computers and teams mates. Interested individual can also be a part and find a team to work with at the workshop.

The Pre-Hackathon session has already begun at Fajib Hotel Rantiya State Lowcost, Jos, Plateau State on January 29 and will end February 27. While the Hackathon proper will take place from March 23 to 25 2015.

“Web, desktop, mobile, and hardware projects are all welcome (all hacks should be tech-related, though). Projects will be judged based on creativity, technical difficulty, polish, and usefulness,” says a statement on the HackJos website.

Graduate students and undergraduates can be a part of this contest provided they have valid identification card.

The event is sponsored by Hotels.ng, Jovago, Schoolmo, and Nignux.
