The City of Cape Town has announced Cape Town @work; an opportunity for economic innovators to share their ideas with investors in the city.
According to a post on the urban and social engineering network, CityMart, the city “is looking for innovators with solutions to two urban challenges”.
Cape Town @Work is seeking for innovators that can come up with solutions to improve the informal trading sector and workforce development in Cape Town.
Submission of entries for the category tagged “Empowering and enhancing the informal trading sector in Cape Town” will close by April 16 while that of the other category, “Enabling demand driven workforce development” will close by May 14, 2015.
Interested participants are to submit an online description of their product or service following a format posted here. Qualifying submissions will be evaluated by juries with criteria on Impact have been developed in partnership with the UN Global Compact Cities Program.
Five finalists will be drawn from the submitted entries from each category to provide more insight into their proposals.
