US-based fast food chain KFC now offers customers the choice of paying for meals via the Airtel‘s mobile money platform. This service is only available in five of its fast-food stores in Accra, Ghana, according to a report on Mobile World.
This new offering comes with an aside that offers up an extra piece of chicken for KFC patrons who use Airtel Money to pay for a Streetwise 3 “offer is valid while stock lasts”.
The process is simple, dial *500#, select ‘Buy Goods’, ‘Other’, type the nickname of the KFC branch, enter amount, enter your name as the reference number, confirm payment details with your Airtel Money PIN.
“Partnering with KFC is a great feat for us,” Lucy Quist, managing director of Airtel Ghana said . “With this collaboration, Airtel has added to its 500 plus merchants countrywide which would provide our over 1.5 million registered Airtel Money customers with a cool way to pay”.
